StopTopps One Magazine Exeter Devon feature

StopTopps featured in One Magazine

We are delighted to have been featured in the December issue of One Magazine on page 6.

In the article, Dawn Dines, Founder, discusses why she launched StopTopps:

“Drink spiking is a hidden epidemic affecting far more people than statistics suggest. Last year, a series of Freedom of Information requests revealed that reported instances of drink spiking had increased by 108%.

“But who knows how many victims have been affected by this crime, but did not go to the police – which we believe happens in many cases.

“This may be due to the victim feeling ashamed and unsure of what to do, or the fact that they have no memory of what happened and know it would be difficult to track down the perpetrator – especially if the drink was spiked in a busy environment. It’s very common for those who have been affected to not report it, which makes it impossible to know the true scale of the problem.”
